Mogadishu Port Undergoes Major Development Inspection

Mogadishu, (WARKA) – H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Amb. Americo), Director General of Mogadishu Port, led an official inspection today to review ongoing development projects across key sections of the port.

Accompanied by senior government officials, Ambassador Americo assessed the progress of initiatives aimed at expanding and modernizing Mogadishu Port, a critical economic gateway for Somalia.

During the visit, authorities highlighted the government’s dedication to strengthening port infrastructure, enhancing trade capacity, and supporting national economic growth. The officials emphasized that the ongoing improvements are designed to bring the port in line with international standards, ensuring it better serves the Somali people and the business community.

The inspection reaffirms the Somali government’s commitment to developing sustainable and world-class port facilities, reinforcing Mogadishu Port’s role as a strategic economic lifeline.
